IBM Message Queuing (MQ) Basic (DE)

The concept of message queuing enables programs to communicate over a network of various hardware and software components. IBM MQ provides a communication layer capable of transmitting any data type as a message, without requiring a direct connection between the programs for data exchange.

This course provides a basic understanding of the role of asynchronous, message-oriented middleware (MoM) in comparison to synchronous methods such as RPC and RMI. Participants will learn about queue managers and channels and will be able to explain the advantages of cluster configurations. In addition, they will learn how to configure secure connections and how to understand and describe various message headers and the information they contain.
