Java Programming in Jakarta (DE)
The goal of this module is to teach participants server-side Java. It originally ran on Java Enterprise Edition, but since 2018 it has been running on Jakarta.

This course is specifically designed for developers working with Mainframes. We have particular expertise in training COBOL developers, as our instructors are proficient in both Java and COBOL. The APIs used to access the backend are covered in detail, including Servlets, JDBC, JPA, EJBs, JSPs, JSF, and JMS. The course covers how to organize unit tests. RESTful web services with JAX-RS are covered, and Java batch processing is a topic. A basic understanding of Java (Java SE), as taught in our Java Basics seminar, is required. We also require that participants be able to install various tools on their workstations.
