Participants will learn how to use SMP/E as a tool for installation and maintenance, and gain hands-on experience with the SMP/E tasks required for installing and maintaining z/OS products.

Participants gain hands-on experience with the typical SMP/E tasks required for the installation and maintenance of z/OS products. The focus is on interpreting the results of SMP/E processing.
The course also covers key SMP/E concepts, including modification control statements, the Consolidated Software Inventory (CSI), the zone structure, and error analysis.
The module also includes the z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF), which provides a task-oriented, web-based user interface with built-in user help.hr
